IOHSAD has compiled data on workplace accidents for the month of March, based on news reports: 30 workplace-related incidents were recorded, resulting in 13 worker deaths and 42 injuries from various work-related accidents.

The number of injured workers this March is higher than the previous month, clearly indicating the persistent dangers that workers face every day.

Common causes of these incidents include:

🔹 Workplace violence

🔹 Electrocution and fires/explosions

🔹 Exposure to hazardous substances or environments

While not all cases are reported—especially those undocumented or unreported in the media—the numbers gathered are more than enough to highlight the widespread and ongoing risks workers face. IOHSAD once again reiterates its call for safe working conditions and adequate protection for all workers, whether in the formal or informal sector.
